Description
Charter Homes & Neighborhoods invites you to enjoy the winter season at the Meeder Ice & Fire Festival! With music throughout the day and special lighting once the sun goes down, the Crossroads and Green will be a magical backdrop for a special day with family and friends.
Come to Meeder Green to stroll the neighborhood and take in the crystal clear ice sculptures, enjoy the cold and refreshing ice bar and watch the exciting fire dancers.
Be sure to roast some marshmallows at the fire pits and build yourself a s’more to accompany your hot chocolate before you take a carriage ride around the neighborhood!
Events and Activities
- Ice Sculpture Unveiling: The fun starts at 11AM with the unveiling of the crystal-clear ice sculptures in the Crossroads.
- Ice Bar: Visit Recon for service at the Ice Bar to try the event signature cocktail along with their “Forest for the Trees” IPA!
- Visit from Anna and Elsa: Get your picture taken with everyone’s favorite Snow Queen when Elsa and Anna come to visit at NIQUEA.D from 11AM-1PM. While you are there, pick up a free s’mores kit with marshmallows to roast over the fire pits on the Green.
- Horse-drawn Carriage Ride: Stop by the Meeder Green Flagpoles to enjoy a free horse-drawn carriage ride around Meeder, courtesy of Charter Homes. Carriage rides are first come, first serve and will be available from 3-7PM.
- Face Painting: Get the kids into the spirit of Ice & Fire with a special “Icy” design at R&R Salon from 11AM-4PM.
- Complimentary Gourmet Hot Chocolate: Coffee Brake will be serving complimentary gourmet hot chocolate, sponsored by Charter Homes, alongside their regular menu of coffee, tea, and pastries, which will be available for purchase.
- LIVE Ice Carving Demo: The first demo begins at 1PM when you can watch as the “Queen’s Crown” sculpture come to life to make for great couples photo ops alongside the Men’s Crown. Come back at 3PM to watch as an American Patriotic Eagle comes to Meeder.
- Fire Dancers: The excitement starts at 5PM with Fire Dancers performing on Meeder Green. Be sure to grab your hot chocolate and head over so you don’t miss out.
