PLEASE NOTE: The event was postponed from Saturday, Dec. 21. We have reprinted lanyards to better reflect the updated tour stops. Please bring your current lanyard to the Made in PGH tent in Mellon Square (stop #6) to exchange for a new one.
Join us for the Downtown Holiday Hop, a fun and festive experience for families to enjoy. Explore local establishments and a variety of holiday happenings together! Do holiday crafts and activities, and savor the flavors of the season with food and drinks.
The Downtown Holiday Hop is designed for children ages 4-14 and grownups can join with or without a ticket. Participation in the tastings and activities is exclusive to ticket holders.
Food, drink and activity stops will include:
- Try Blitzen's Reindeer Mix at the Omni William Penn
- Warm up at the Hot Cocoa Cart in Mellon Square Park
- Make your own New Year’s Wishing Wand to make your New Year’s wishes
- Make your own ornament using beads and pipe cleaners
- 1:11 Juice’s Cranberry Oat Balls and Holiday Juice
- Take Home a Book from Made in PGH
- Snack on Meatballs at The Speckled Egg PGH
- Enjoy Story Time with WQED, followed by an activity to make your own bookmarks
- Sip on Something Sweet at the MilkShake Factory
- Choose Your Own Kids’ Cone at Millie's Homemade Ice Cream
- Try a Pittsburgh Classic at Primanti Bros.
- Get Mac Attack Balls at The Yard
Starting at 1 p.m., use the Mellon Square Holly Trolley to move about the tour and experience the magic from Mellon Square to Market Square. Make cherished memories together in the heart of Pittsburgh, surrounded by the festive sights and sounds of holiday cheer!
In the holiday spirit, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy to support their work in bringing life and magic to Pittsburgh’s parks.
