Thousands of artistically carved pumpkins will glow in the night during the walk-through Jack O’Lantern Extravaganza, presented by Beverlynn and Steven Elliott. These gourd-geous works of art will feature beloved Zoo animals and familiar characters from the worlds of entertainment, science, fantasy, pop culture, sports, and more, presented with sound, light, and other special effects.
This family friendly event is the perfect combination of nighttime fun, the spirit of autumn, and artistry. Thousands of pumpkins will illuminate The Islands and Jungle Odyssey in a spectacle unlike anything you’ve ever seen, including differently themed areas with a Pittsburgh connection.
In addition to pumpkins of all shapes, sizes, and designs, the Jack O’Lantern Extravaganza will feature activities for children, gently spooky seasonal displays, and specialty seasonal food items. The evening Jack O’Lantern Extravaganza adds a fall family tradition that will delight guests of all ages.

To purchase Plan-Ahead tickets:
- Select the number of guests in your group.
- Children are between the ages of 2 and 13 and are priced $3 less than Adults.
- Children under 2 are FREE and do not require general admission tickets.
- Membership discount available! Members, log in and add tickets to your cart. $2 discount based upon membership level will automatically be applied.
- Note: Zoo Parking is FREE!
- Select the date of your visit. Ticket prices may change daily. Buy your ticket in advance to save!
- Select the time for your visit. You may arrive at the Zoo any time between the selected half hour and stay as long as you like, or until park close. Selecting a time will remind you of that day's rates.
Groups: Groups of 15+ can add all tickets to your cart and will automatically receive a $21 max flat-rate discount on tickets of all ages. Groups must select a date and time that works for all members of the party. Note that Member discount does not apply to group sales.

- Flex tickets are a flat adult rate for guests of all ages 2+.
- Children under 2 are FREE and do not require admission tickets.

- Confirm the END date of your ticket: November 3, 2024. Your ticket is valid any operating Jack O' Lantern Extravaganza date on or before this expiration date.
- Confirm the time for your visit. You may arrive at the Zoo any time between the listed operating hours and stay as long as you like, or until park close. Selecting a time will remind you of the price.
Giving Tickets to Others: You will receive a single QR code once you purchase your tickets. The single QR code on your receipt is valid for all admission tickets purchased on this order. The QR code can be printed/forwarded to all members of your party and will be scanned each time admission is used. If, instead of a QR code, you would like to receive physically printed tickets to provide to your guests, please contact visitorservices@pittsburghzoo.org.
