Aspinwall’s Big Night Out is a free event designed to bring together friends, families, and neighbors for an unforgettable evening of entertainment, education, and fun for all ages.
Event Highlights
- Live Music by Paging Doctor Moon: Enjoy lively tunes as local band Paging Doctor Moon takes the stage.
- Family-Friendly Activities: From bounce houses to a photobooth and foam party, there will be activities to entertain and engage neighbors of all ages.
- Community Engagement: Meet and mingle with fellow residents, local leaders, and community organizations to learn more about what makes Aspinwall such a special place to live, work and visit.
- Neighborhood Lounge: 21+ Neighbors can enjoy local beer and spirit samples in a dedicated area (proof of ID required). This year we will also have kombucha samples provided by Vibrant Sunshine.
New This Year! Food Options
For the first time in the event’s decade-plus history, food will be available for purchase on-site – and Aspinwall Neighbors will be keeping it local. Guests can enjoy offerings from the Aspinwall Tee Ball Canteen, including pizza from Casa Del Sole. Proceeds from the canteen sale will go directly to Aspinwall Tee Ball. Other on-site food sales will include Aspinwall’s Cornerstone Restaurant, Spice Affair and Treat Down the Street.
Free food will also be provided by Aspinwall Neighbors while supplies last. Free options include cotton candy, popcorn and cookies. Guests are also welcome to pack a picnic dinner.
Zero Waste Initiative
In partnership with the Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) and the Borough of Aspinwall, Aspinwall Neighbors is striving to make this a zero waste event. This will be the third year that the event has partnered with PRC. Last year, 86% of all event waste was diverted, and the group reduced total waste by over 125 lbs year over year. Aspinwall Neighbors encourages all attendees to bring a refillable water bottle and use reusable materials if packing a picnic to help achieve the goal of diverting 90% of waste, the amount needed to be considered officially “zero waste.” A water refill station provided by PWSA will be available on-site. Together, attendees can minimize their environmental impact and promote sustainability.
