Phantom Fall Fest Takes Over Kennywood with Tons of Twists & Surprises

Featuring the biggest fall ride lineup, haunted houses and scare zones yet!

Kennywood’s Phantom Fall Fest creeps out of the shadows for six weeks of terror beginning Friday, September 20. This season, the park’s annual Halloween event takes screams to the extreme with spine-tingling scares, more frightening fun and the biggest ride lineup yet for its 22nd season. Phantom Fall Fest features more than 30 attractions including six horrifying haunts, four sinister scare zones, more than 100 scare actors and terrifying rides in the dark. 


The eerie extravaganza offers a medley of macabre every night of Phantom Fall Fest for fright fans, featuring six haunted houses. Details include:

  •  mAlice in Wonderland Unleashed takes thrill-seekers on a twisted journey that is darker, scarier and in reverse for its third season, creating all-new frights, 
  • Shady Grove is accepting new patients to its haunted halls where demented doctors and nightmarish nurses run amok, 
  • Villa of the Vampire welcomes guests to brave the bloodthirsty bunch lurking in the manor’s shadows, 
  • Dark Shadows plays tricks on all who date to enter its sensory depriving darkened dwelling, and 
  • Voodoo Bayou takes adventurers on a summon spiriting swampland excursion with creatures from the marsh and below. 

The fear doesn’t stop there for Phantom fans. Terror awaits around each corner with four scare zones filled with creatures of the night including zombies and evil clowns. Phantom Fall Fest delivers dark dreams and screams for all brave enough to enter for 20 nights this fall.

Daringly delicious culinary delights can be found throughout Phantom Fall Fest, featuring special, all-new seasonal items as well as the traditional Kennywood fare with a fall twist. Guests can gorge at the Open Body Buffet located in the End Zone Café. The frightfully flavorful feast will feature charcuterie, fire-roasted chicken wings, whiskey-glazed ribs, macaroni and cheese and more. The all-new Carousel Burger Co. will offer a menacingly mouthwatering milkshake line up with fall favorite flavors like pumpkin spice and franken shake mint shake. Cinnamon apple funnel cakes, scary ice cream cones, seasonal homemade fudge and many other unique and sinisterly sweet treats will be also available.

Families looking to get into the Halloween spirit during the daytime can come early for family-friendly fun and festive food in a unique autumn atmosphere. Spooky season at Kennywood has something for even the smallest ghouls, from Kiddieland and Thomas Town™ attractions, Kenny’s Trick-or-Treat Scavenger Hunt, Halloween-themed dance parties plus other signature family rides for pint-sized thrill seekers. 

Phantom Fall Fest invites guests to do Halloween their way, with family-friendly activities during the day, then at 6 p.m., the fear kicks into gear with hair-raising thrills, all included for free with park admission, running select dates Friday, September 20 through Sunday, October 27. Single-day tickets are on sale now for only $29.99.
