A little construction can’t stop a celebration - and the mix of cultures in Cranberry is certainly worth celebrating!
The 2024 edition of CranFest, set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 13, will take place entirely inside Municipal Center Gymnasium as work continues on renovations to the building.
But while the space itself may be smaller, the celebration is as big as ever, featuring numerous colorful performances, more than a dozen food stations, and plenty of informational booths to peruse. The event is free and open to the public, with food available for purchase.
Food vendors include Leon’s Caribbean Restaurant, Avor Thai, Philippine-American Performing Arts of Greater Pittsburgh, Tamarind Exotic India, Yia Yia’s Greek Pastries, Pita My Shawarma, and Rajbhog Indian Market and Café.
Performances are set to feature OCA Pittsburgh, Young Brothers Tae Kwon Do, Bulgarian School at the BMNECC Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Xiaobo Waist Drum Dance Group, Uma Performing Arts, Pittsburgh Samba Group, Bell School of Irish Dance.
Organized by the Township’s Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Advisory (IDEA) Team, CranFest has long been a staple of Cranberry. The 2024 edition will once again welcome Local Government Day, though in a scaled-down form. Township employees will be on hand to meet the public and answer questions.
