Community engagement is at the heart of everything that happens at West View Hub. The center actively seeks input from residents on the types of programming they would like to see, ensuring that their needs and interests are what drives the programming. Ownership and belonging amongst community members is a priority fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere within the Hub. By working closely with the community, West View Hub is able to offer enriching free programs that are open, not only to West View residents, but to the surrounding communities as well!
In June of 2023, HUBworks was added and includes a recording studio, and a place for community events, performances, and music lessons. The Hub will celebrate its fifth anniversary in June of this year. Since first opening in 2019, the amount of programming has grown exponentially and now includes: Art Camps, STEAM programs, Tutoring, Get Curious, “Statescation,” Summer Acting Camp, Illustration Class, Fencing Class, Book Clubs and more.
This list is just a small example of the ongoing community partnerships working along side West View Hub to carry out it's mission in a variety of ways:
- Act One
- North Hills Art Center
- Northland Library
- North Hills Community Outreach
- Steel City Shakespeare
- North Hills School District
- Farina Foundation and More!
By providing these opportunities, the Hub is able to empower community members to take control of their lives and pursue, discover and utilize new skill sets. Through these programs, West View Hub is able to support the personal growth and development of a changing demographic that includes all ages and backgrounds.
