Great Exercise Ideas

Sometimes exercising can be a tough subject to talk about because there just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to exercise! I've heard people say "the way to lose weight is to change your lifestyle", and I agree with that, but the major question is how? Maybe you don't want to loose weight. Maybe you just want to maintain your weight. I've provided a list of simple ways that you can get started with changing your lifestyle to incorporate exercise on a daily basis.

Walking

  • Park far away from the store where you shop or you place of business to get extra steps in
  • Make a few laps around the house to checkout your yard
  • Make a few laps around your neighborhood
  • Go to a local park and take a walk enjoying the scenery
  • While at work, take the long way to and from the restroom

Stair Climbing

  • Take the stairs in buildings instead of using the elevator
  • Go to your local school stadium and climb the bleachers
  • Go to the gym and use the stair climber

Dancing

  • Turn on the music and dance with your family
  • Take a Zumba dance class
  • Take a pole dancing class
  • Go out and dance to live music or to the DJ's music

Aerobics

  • Take a step aerobics where you will learn a step routine to music
  • Attend a body pump class where you will lift weights to the rhythm of music
  • Take a boot camp circuit class
  • Play tag outside with your family

Calisthenics

  • Complete 3 reps of 15 pushups
  • Complete 3 reps of 15 squats
  • Complete 3 reps of 25 jumping jax
  • Complete 3 reps of 15 lunges
  • Complete 3 reps of 15 jabs
  • Complete 3 reps of 15 hooks
  • Complete 3 reps of 15 upper cuts
