Clubs and Trips and Events…Oh My!
One week or all summer...find the ultimate camp for your children
There was a time when summer camp was an equation of one week at band camp, a week of dance camp, two weeks at nature camp, and a few haphazard methods of child care before school started. What if you could combine all those themes into one camp experience? What if your child could develop friendships that don’t end after five days? What if the staff supervising your child were trained educators with thorough background checks? Would it start to add up to the ultimate summer vacation for your child…and for you?
Doodle Bugs! Children’s Centers has a summer camp program specifically designed for children ages 3 -5 and 5 -12 that keeps children active through creative learning, fun activities, theme-related events, daily clubs, field trips and special guests. Campers receive breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack and are in a safe, supervised environment. Parents have flexibility in scheduling options, allowing enrollment for one week or the entire summer.
The Daily Summer Clubs include:
Swim Club: Campers dive right in and enjoy swimming at local indoor/outdoor town pools.
Garden Club: Gardeners plant and tend to our outdoor gardens, harvesting the crops to create unique recipes and run a Farmer’s Market.
Cooking Club: Campers operate every aspect of the Doodle Café, planning menus, preparing snacks, and having lots of fun!
Sports Club: Team members and peer coaches enjoy team-building activities and organized sports and games, including basketball and soccer.
Science and Technology Club: Wonder how that works? Want to take that apart? Creative campers start their experiments here!
Book Club: Campers take some DEAR time (Drop Everything And Read), then bring stories to life with Readers’ Theater, journals and more.
“All children have different interests, but all want to have fun over the summer. Our summer camp program gives children the opportunity to enjoy activities they are already interested in, but also be introduced to a variety of new topics,” said Christina Fecio, director of education and training at Doodle Bugs! Children’s Centers. “Our camp counselors are skilled teachers who do a fantastic job of facilitating interesting, developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor learning experiences to provide the perfect camp experience.”
