Autism Friendly Santa Time

Sunday, November 13, 2011

The holidays at the Mall with their bright lights, loud noises, and long lines can be a very difficult time for families and children with autism spectrum disorders to visit with Santa. ABOARD (Advisory Board on Autism and Related Disorders) has paired up with two local malls to provide an "Autism Friendly Santa Time." The mall will be closed to the public so that our children with autism spectrum disorders and related disorders may have the opportunity to meet with Santa in a less stimulating environment. The lights will be dimmed, no music will be playing and no waiting in lines. “Autism Friendly Santa” will be quiet (no loud Ho Ho Ho's).
Where: Monroeville Mall - Monroeville, PA 15146
When: 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM
