National Aviary Summer Camps

Children explore the wild world and their place in itโ€”both indoors and out!

March 5, 2015

National Aviary Summer Camps are unlike any other!

Journey through a tropical jungle, feed our colony of African penguins, investigate veterinary science, and discover falconry.  National Aviary Summer Camps enable children and teens to explore the wild world and their place in it—both indoors and out!

Campers have access to the National Aviary’s world-class exhibits, including the historic Tropical Forest and Wetlands, the Helen M. Schmidt TheaterTM, Sky Deck, Canary’s Call, and many behind-the-scenes spaces not accessible to the public.  Children can interact with favorite birds, like penguins, toucans and parrots.  And our location within Allegheny Commons Park is perfect for outdoor nature study and play.

Registration for 2015 summer camps is now open! Register online or contact the National Aviary Education Programs at 412-258-9439 or via email at Education.Programs@Aviary.org.
