A Humorous List Of Tips

By SupahMommy AKA Debby Perry December 14, 2014
It's that time of year again isn't it?

Time to frantically realize that you aren't keeping up with yet another holiday requirement.

 The dreaded Holiday Card.

While you fumbled with that silly elf and his antics you totally forgot about your holiday card didn't you?

No worries.  Through my 9 years as a parent I have developed a sure fire list of tips for taking holiday photo greetings that are sure to be enjoyed for years to come.

Because certainly NO ONE throws away the holiday greetings that come each year, right?

How To Have a Stellar Photo Session In Your Home

1.  Choose a time of day when at least one of your subjects is terribly cranky and mad at the world.

2.  Attempt to encourage natural poses.

3.  Take some finger licking good poses.  YUM.  Let's all imagine it was icing from the gingerbread houses ( homeade of course) that you just finished up Martha Stewarting before this photo shoot.  It is most assuredly NOT a booger.

4.  Put one of one of your subjects in front of an object they are afraid of. (a fake tree)  People want REAL this season.

5.  Don't try too hard.

6.  Try to capture your subjects in mid sentence.

7.  Go for the deer in  the headlights shot.  Better yet, make sure your subjects eyes are closed.  ( Besides , that's the way I'd want to go if I were a deer.  )

8.  Catch a candid pose.   People love to display children picking their noses.

9.  Make sure you have your subjects looking directly at you to capture the moment.

10.  Let your subjects suggest poses.    Beaver teeth are a popular holiday tradition in … Beaver PA.

and last but not least provide a challenge for your card recipients.
11.  Cut off your subjects heads.  Keep them guessing.

ALL are sure fire ways for a grreeat holiday PHOTO GREETING!
