Parents, Be a Summer Camp Tagalong

At Doodle Bugs! in McCandless!

April 23, 2014

As parents, you spend hours researching summer camps, talking to your child about the options, putting together a master schedule and probably writing several checks. All so your child can have a summer filled with adventure, exciting experiences, learning and fun. But, it’s okay to selfishly ask…what do you get, as a parent?

Did you know that with the Doodle Bugs! Summer Camp program, the fun isn’t just for the kids? Parents get to be campers too—maybe not in the same way, but it’s like tagging along for the fun. Here are three fantastic ways to enjoy summer camp with your child:

1. WatchMeGrow webcams. At Doodle Bugs! parents have the ability to peek in on all the fun their child is having with the human checkerboard game during the “Let the Games Begin” week in July, or watch them do the Mexican hat dance during “Around the World” week in June.

2. Parades, Picnics and More…oh my! Throughout the summer, there are several family-friendly events where parents and relatives are invited to attend and enjoy the fun. Stop by for Halloween parade during the “Holiday Hullabaloo” week or grab carnival-themed treats at the end-of-summer carnival in August. Parents will love “clowning around” with fellow campers.

3.
Field Trip Fun. If you’re down for a Pirates game, or trip to the pool, or even a ride at the amusement park, then Doodle Bugs! Summer Camp is for you! With several field trips each week, parents have tons of trips to join in on.
