Disney Live! Three Classic Fairy Tales- Review

By Debby Perry April 4, 2012
Princesses are a "thing" here in the Perry household so when we were kindly invited to attend Disney Live!  Three Classic Fairy Tales show we said, "Of course!". Actually I think they SCREAMED "YES MOMMY YES!"

When any princess event, let alone a well done Disney event, comes even NEAR to the Pittsburgh area-- you'll find my two princesses ready and willing to partake. Throw in Mickey and the gang and we'll walk there!

We traveled bout an hour and 45 minutes up to Indiana University of Pennyslvania's Kovalchick Complex.  It's  a gamble traveling that far for an event but we were not disappointed and if it comes NEAR to your area, we suggest you truck on out and see it as well. The arena is really very intimate and you don't feel lost in even the most inexpensive of seats.  The parking was either free or just $5 as well depending on where you parked.  That's a steal!

Disney Live!  Three Classic Fairy Tales  featured all of our favorite princesses, Snow White, Belle and the ever magical Cinderella. I just love her.

Each story briefly tells a simple synopsis with some of the most popular Disney songs such as Bippity Boppity Boo and of course theme songs such as Beauty and The Beast.  The characters were true to form and disposition and the costumes were beautiful.  Cinderella's gown was extra sparkly and captured each tiny little Cinderella's eye I'm sure.

The show was perfectly timed as always, never too much, never too little. There were a few "bad guy" parts as always that required many mommy and daddy cuddles as I looked around.  Though in any show the villain exists and this show certainly portrayed the characters as "villainous" with matching sound effects and lighting.

The show was well done and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.  My girls ages 3 and 5 sat in rapture the entire time.  Mady's favorite part was Beauty and the Beast and she cheered and swayed with each song they performed.

Peyton loved the culmination that showed off each Princess and her Prince in glittering effects.

We give this show two tiny little princess hand waves--- meaning it was PERFECTLY PRINCESS WORTHY.

Although the Princess show has moved on, ( find the schedule here) there is a Circus comin’ to town at The Kovalchick Complex April 12th-15th so if you’re looking for something to put in those Easter Baskets that the kids will LOVE… you might want to ask the Easter Bunny for tickets… he can find information by clicking here!!

Macaroni Kid of Pittsburgh LLC was compensated with media tickets for this review but the opinions and ideas of the editor are all of their own.
