Santa Claus and Reindeer Come To Cranberry November 20

Fun For All Of The Family

November 19, 2015

The much-anticipated annual visit by Santa Claus, officially marking the start of Cranberry’s holiday season, is set for 7:00 PM on Friday, November 20 in front of the Cranberry Township Municipal Center.

Activities surrounding the Santa’s visit will begin at 6:00 with free family activities, games, crafts, face painting by “Painting With a Twist”, plus, refreshments inside the building.  A  group of live reindeer will be outside, and visitors are welcome to feed them.  Holiday music will be provided by the Dutilh United Methodist Church choir.  A giant Lego train display, configured by the Steel City LUG – an adult Lego Users Group – will be inside Council Chambers, both Friday evening and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

The event launches the 2015 Cranberry Holiday Tree Gallery inside the building – an annual fundraising project where more than 20 local nonprofit organizations display smaller trees decorated in themes that reflect their community missions.  A toy collection, coordinated by Toys for Tots, will be open for donations Friday evening.

Shortly after arriving on a specially-decorated fire truck, Santa will greet the townsfolk gathered then throw a switch lighting the Community Tree on the Center’s front lawn, and head back to the North Pole for more holiday preparations.  The entire event is free.
